Guess???

Well, it was requested for me to show the "fruits" of my labor. Believe it or not, this was the makings of a Raw Chocolate Tort! And it contained raw black olives! When I was in the process of making this delectable dish I had a small appliance meltdown in my kitchen. First, the blade on the food processor decided to crumble and rendered it unusable! I then tried my concoction in the blender to no avail! Lastly, I resorted to my brand new juicer, which worked like a charm, but I apparently missed a pit in one of the olives and chipped off a piece of my juicer blade. So, this picture looked like a big pile of shit and I had to take a picture. I wasn't gonna let all my hard work go to waste so, I served the finished product to all my coworkers! Remember that chip off of the juicer? It ended up getting ground up and was somewhere in the mess pictured above! The tort would have been a bigger hit if it didn't have all that gritty stuff in it and I of course did not tell anyone what that grit was........until after they at least tried one bite! Hee heee heee
I probably would have like it better but the crust had a smooshed up banana and I am not a big fan of bananas! I actually liked the other raw cake I made that night....the secret ingredient was avocados!!!

RAW

Well, everyone who actually reads my blog on a regular basis already knows that I am attempting to transition into a raw diet. The only person that I know that I haven't said any thing to is my sister Jerri, and I probably should...............perhaps she is checking back at my blog occasionally even tho I haven't been blogging.

I am going to be visiting her and her family next week, granted it is only 2 days but I have been pretty darned consistent with my raw breakfasts and lunches that even 2 days could send me spinning back to the SAD (Sad American Diet) lifestyle.

Anyway, I have been approximately 70% raw for the last 3 1/2 weeks and all the raw foodists say that you are suppose to feel great! Of course I am not 100% raw but you'd think I would feel some sort of benefit. And I do think I feel something? I just haven't put my finger on it yet. I am still trying to determine that pattern and thus far I think that I don't feel so good the morning after I eat my evening of cooked processed food.

Kind of amazing, my regular diet in the evenings doesn't consist of many natural products, either that or I am just tired of making another salad? Which also could be true? Anyway, I am not giving up on this yet, it is a doable thing and I truly believe that it is much healthier to put vegi's and fruit into my body vs donuts and tacos. Who knows, maybe one day I will be 100% raw.

I will keep you posted.
