Thirteen or less Things about National Bike to Work Day. There are a few of the responses I received when I told people that tomorrow is National Bike to Work Day and or when I told them of the local Ride your Bike to Work Day on May 24, 2006 here in my area. 1. "Umm, I don't have a bike." 2." Do you know how far away I live?" 3. "You'd have to give Jayjo mouth to mouth if he rides his bike to work tomorrow." (Jayjo has been sick all week!). 4. "Excuse me? What did you say? Ride my bike, like a bicycle that you peddle? 5. Or they say nothing and just roll their eyes and walk away. 6. "If you can get our manager to ride her bike to work, then I will ride mine!" 7. "Yeah, you're funny!" 8. "I think I would be dead by the time I made it to work." 9. "Naaa, but thanks for the offer." I believe that I will be the sole person to ride their bike to work out of all the people that work in my building tomorrow and on Wednesday May 24, 2006. Oh well, one person at a time I suppose.
